Apache Tomcat팀에서 Tomcat 4.1.40 안정화(stable) 빌드를 발표했습니다.
이 빌드는 중요한 2가지, 3가지의 낮은 심각성을 가진 보안 수정과 약간의 버그 수정을 포함하고 있습니다.

Apache Tomcat 4은 Java Server Pages 1.2와 Java Servlet 2.3 규약을 지원합니다.
하지만 Apache Tomcat 4.1.40은 4.1.x 시리즈의 마지막 릴리즈가 될 공산이 큽니다. 그러므로 앞으로 보안상 문제가 있는 Apache Tomcat이 보고되면, 4.1.x 시리즈에서 이 문제가 발생하더라도 업그레이드가 되지 않을 것입니다. 
따라서, 사용자들께서 현재 4.1.x 시리즈를 사용하고 계신다면, 안정적인 릴리즈인 6.0.x시리즈나 6.0.20릴리즈로 업그레이드 하시길 강력하게 권고합니다.

The U.S. Government Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), has classified this software as Export Commodity Control Number (ECCN) 5D002.C.1, which includes information security software using or performing cryptographic functions with asymmetric algorithms.  The form and manner of this Apache Software Foundation distribution makes it eligible for export under the License Exception ENC Technology Software Unrestricted (TSU) exception (see the BIS Export Administration Regulations, Section 740.13) for both object code and source code.

The following provides more details on the included cryptographic software:

 - Tomcat includes code designed to work with OpenSSL

Apache Tomcat 팀에서 안정화된 Apache Tomcat 6.0.20을 릴리즈 하였습니다.
이 릴리즈는 Apache Tomcat 6.0.18에서 발견된 여러가지 문제를 해결하였습니다.

Apache Tomcat 6.0은 Apache Tomcat 5.5보다 훨씬 나은 기능을 가지고 있으며, 서블릿(Servlet) 2.5와 JSP 2.1 규약을 지원합니다.
또한 리팩터드 클러스터링 구현(refactored clustering implementation)과 확장 IO 특성과 메모리 사용에 대한 개선이 포함되어있습니다.

The Apache Tomcat team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of version 1.2.28 of the Apache Tomcat Connectors.

It contains connectors, which allow a web server such as the Apache HTTP Server, Microsoft IIS and Sun Web Server to act as a front end to the Tomcat web application server.

This version contains mainly some bug fixes and small improvements.
